An annual culture sector and arts management conference
CultureCon is an endeavor by Arts Culture Resources India (ACRI), a network and platform for cultural professionals in India and South Asia, and Godrej India Culture Lab, an experimental cultural space that explores what it means to be modern and Indian through conversations, fellowships and resource creation. The inaugural edition of the conference is held in February 2020, where we examine the unique structure of India’s culture sector, while initiating a much-needed dialogue around cultural labour and financial models that sustain the sector.
Speakers presenting at the conference include stakeholders from government agencies, international cultural organisations, academics, journalists, owners of private and public cultural organisations, heads of for-profit creative companies and more.
The conference also includes researched position papers, case studies and breakout sessions enabling debate and dialogue over practical challenges, trends and controversies ailing the sector.
